So much to enjoy about this book! Heartfelt and encouraging.
The author takes us by the hand into a charming world – an immigrant starlet marries ambitious doctor and raises 9 kids in the heart of Americana. It seems like fiction. This book was lovingly researched, and it both entertains and educates the reader (on Filipino culture). The author thoughtfully develops her unique characters and poses important questions about mental health, parenting, and priorities. A call to discover and honor the lives of our parents, and in return learn something about ourselves.

A wonderful trip through time
I really enjoyed this book for several reasons. It is an easy read and I couldn’t put it down. It offers something for any type of reading you prefer (romance, comedy, history, etc). The writing is real and honest. I so enjoyed the journey of Tessa Agana from movie star in Philippines to mother and wife in Indiana. It gave me a lot of think about afterwards and I am sure it will do the same for you.

Just Wonderful!
Mylene will take you on a journey that is so eloquently and respectfully written. The story of her family is both fascinating and inspiring. Mylene is not afraid to touch on sensitive subjects such as anxiety and depression – and she does it in a beautiful way which allows the reader an opportunity to self-evaluate. A must read!

Amazing story that took me on a journey
Reading this book took me on a journey in my mind – so clearly and honestly told thru the eyes of Mylene (author) and her amazing family. Mylene wrote an amazing tribute that is so raw and truthful and just a beautiful story – so much appreciated. You will laugh, cry, and look inside yourself. A must read!!!
